WorldSpy was the best until they lost the ability for people to log in throught much of the country. Tech support just shrugs and says that even though it has been nearly a month, and they still have not solved the login recognition problems, to check back and see if it works yet.

I have been pleased with WorldSpy's performance. The connection speed was good and there were no distracting banners or ads to click on. The times I needed to speak with their technical support they proved to be knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. My only difficulty occured when they lost their access number(s) I was using. I have been assured that they are quickly adding new numbers. I will be watching for this and will probably return when it happens.

I was impressed with Worldspy at first but after a month I downloaded 2.0 only to find out I no longer could use local access numbers. They lost my business as I was preparing to buy a new printer through their service. Guess I'll look elsewhere. Like Excite.com

Free ISP Tip

Change your e-mail address to a free web based e-mail service.

Most free ISP's will block you from sending e-mail using software like Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, or Eudora. This means that in many cases you won't be able to use your current e-mail account.

Sign up for a free web based e-mail service, like Addlebrain Mail, and you'll be able to access your e-mail from any paid or free Internet service. Addlebrain Mail also allows you to read e-mail from your current POP e-mail account.
