I give this 4 stars ONLY because it has free POP3 email and no Ads. The service is also very fast and about 75% of the time reliable. The last star was left off because of: A) unexpected downtime B) email cut outs C) 80 hour limit D) the shut down. The funny part is that I AM STILL USING THE DIAL UP! I thought they shut down! Maybe I am using the now juno line or something, but it still works. Very well, in fact, kudos to the freewwweb team for a very fast, very reliable, non-ad supported service. That is, when you can get on it. :)

It was free. It had a few quirks. In the 6 months I used it, I only had one week where I couldn't log on. The Snap homepage was not bad. Just watch your time and have a few accounts and there were no problems surfing the web. Because there were NO BANNERS, one could work with and accept the time limitations. Sorry to see this go. Thank you Mr. Steve Daum

FreeWWWeb is the best service to me there is out there. I tried all the other ISP's and been trying the out but none were as good as freewwweb. The thing I really like about freewwweb is that it actually works on my 68k macintosh. There is no other ISP that offers support for it. It becomes handy for my powerbook that is based on 68k. All other ISPs that offer Macintosh support are mostly PowerPC based only which really gets annoying after time. Only bad things I would say from it, yes, it does sometimes complain about the login and such but what I found that out to be is that it only does that when the servers have to many people on them and there ain't enough space for all (kind of an excuse for a busy signal to me). Other than that, ther's nothing wrong with it. And NO BANNERS!

ISP Tip

Change your e-mail
address to a free web based e-mail service.
Most free ISP's will block you from sending e-mail using software
like Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, or Eudora. This means
that in many cases you won't be able to use your current e-mail
account.
Sign up for a free web based e-mail service, like Addlebrain
Mail, and you'll be able to access your e-mail from any paid
or free Internet service. Addlebrain
Mail also allows you to read e-mail from your current POP
e-mail account.
